You can use Adoptee Rights without creating an account or giving your name. The project does not maintain a database of the questions you ask or the answers you receive.

When you ask the Assistant

Your question, together with the recent conversation needed to answer it, is sent through the Adoptee Rights website to OpenAI so the answer can be generated. The Assistant is configured with store: false, so the generated response is not stored for later retrieval through the OpenAI Responses API.

OpenAI's standard API services can still retain inputs and outputs temporarily for safety and abuse monitoring. OpenAI currently states that API data is removed after 30 days unless a legal or security exception applies. API data is not used to train OpenAI models by default unless the API customer explicitly opts in.

What Adoptee Rights keeps

The application does not write the text of your questions or answers to a transcript database, user profile, advertising system or analytics service. There are currently no user accounts and no saved chat-history feature.

Hosting and technical logs

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like other web hosts, Vercel can process technical request information needed to operate and secure the service, such as IP address, browser or device information, requested page, timestamp, status code and request identifiers. The Adoptee Rights application is designed not to add the text of your questions or answers to its own runtime logs.

Share only what is useful

You normally do not need to provide names, addresses, case numbers, passport numbers or other identifying details. If a future feedback feature allows you to share an answer with the project team, that should be optional and explained before anything is submitted.

Service providers

AI processing is provided by OpenAI and website hosting by Vercel. Their own privacy and data-handling terms also apply to the processing they carry out.

Privacy wording reviewed for the beta on 6 September 2026. It should be reviewed again if the hosting, AI provider, retention settings, analytics or feedback tools change.
