Adoptee Rights is an independent project designed to make adoption law, records processes and adoptee rights easier to understand.

What we are building

The first substantive service is the Adoptee Rights Assistant. Around it, this website will grow into a broader library of rights information, records guidance, legal case summaries, intercountry material and carefully classified resources.

Research approach

The Assistant is built from a version controlled research database and regression tested rules. The project distinguishes current law, historic law, official procedure, research evidence, lived experience and reform arguments rather than treating them as interchangeable.
